From 2009-2013, South Korea's Saemaul Undong Center held invitational trainings for 996 individuals from 39 countries. From 2012, the center received support from South Korea's Ministry of Interior and actively engaged in Saemaul Undong ODA. With the aim of global poverty eradication and sustainable development based on the model of Saemaul Undong in the 1970s, the center emphasized the importance of leadership training for pilot village implementation in partner countries.
