Vietnam, Laos and Thailand promote trade relations

Vietnam, Laos and Thailand have come up with several ways of using roads No8 and 12 more effectively to promote trade, investment and tourism. At the 14th preparatory conference in Quang Binh province they agreed to facilitate the transport of goods between provinces in the three countries, and investment in upgrading infrastructure, and widening highway 8A to link their countries to China, the Republic of Korea and Japan. They also agreed to build a cultural centre in Lac Xao town in Lao’s Bolikhamsay province to strengthen tripartite relations. On the occasion, nearly 120 businesses from the three countries attended a conference to promote investment in Quang Binh province. At the conference, Quang Binh called for investment in tourism, mining, energy, and shipbuilding projects. Earlier, an international trade fair opened on August 28 with businesses from Khammuan, Savannakhet, Bolikhamsay, Mukdahan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhone Phanom, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces.
