Sayaboury Province’s Planning and Investment Service and the Hongkham Construction Company have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on conducting a feasibility study on constructing the Nam Hoi hydropower plant in Botene district. The document was signed on April 23 by deputy head of the Planning and Investment Service of Sayaboury Province Champheng Khammountha, and Mr. Ouday Souvannaly, director of the Hongkham Construction Company. The signing event was witnessed by Head of the Sayaboury Administration Office Mr. Bounthanh Khamkheuang, experts and officials of both sides. The feasibility study on the Nam Hoi Hydropower Plant is a development priority of the northwestern Sayaboury province and the government. The document indicates the timeframe of the survey, including economic data collection and a study on possible impacts on local people and environment.
